Auto insurers now seek increase

Outer Banks homeowners will see insurance costs rise this June and again next June following the settlement North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey negotiated with the North Carolina Rate Bureau and announced on Friday, Jan. 17.

 

This marked Causey’s 17th settlement with the Rate Bureau—which represents all insurance companies in the state—since he took office in 2017.
