MANTEO — The First Judicial District’s senior resident superior court judge on Monday at the Dare County Justice Center in Manteo denied the motion of the mother of the teen fatally shot outside Avalon Pier in Kill Devil Hills in July, ruling that the district attorney can withhold case information from her.


“If he determines that a person is hindering or is a detriment to the fair administration of justice, he has the right to deny access,” Judge R. Andrew “Andy” Womble of Elizabeth City said.
