A Dare County man who sustained life-threatening injuries and required extrication following Friday afternoon’s head-on vehicle collision in Kill Devil Hills is now in stable condition, and three other people who were hospitalized have since been released, according to police.

A vehicle collision caused a serious injury on Friday afternoon in Kill Devil Hills, police confirmed to Outer Banks Insider.

No serious injuries were reported in a two-vehicle, officer-involved crash that took place in Kitty Hawk on Saturday, Aug. 30, but a 16-year-old’s vehicle was likely totaled, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

A Kill Devil Hills bicyclist remained hospitalized as of early Monday afternoon following a Friday morning collision with a truck driven by a New Jersey resident.
