MANTEO — Two men who said they were employed as maintenance workers for Dare County Schools until their recent dismissals because of the Manteo Elementary School trespass incident shared what they saw as concerning systemic issues.
One man said he worked for the district for three years and was never issued a badge, and both said they were never trained on safety procedures. They spoke to Outer Banks Insider for this article on the condition of anonymity.
