A Manteo High School senior whose vehicle was struck by a speeding vehicle last Monday was rehospitalized after new symptoms arose over the weekend, according to her family. The Creswell driver charged in the incident is facing three additional charges.

A Creswell woman was arrested Monday afternoon after a vehicle pursuit from the Columbia area ended in a multi-vehicle collision at the U.S. Highway 64 and N.C. Highway 345 intersection on Roanoke Island.

The replacement of the 65-year-old Lindsay C. Warren Bridge, locally known as the Alligator River Bridge, is ongoing despite nearly a quarter of the project’s funding currently being frozen by the federal government, an NCDOT spokesperson confirmed.
