NAGS HEAD — In this year’s municipal election for the Town of Nags Head, three candidates are running for two open commissioner seats, another three candidates are running for one open unexpired term commissioner seat and the mayor’s race is uncontested.
Robert “Bob” Sanders, Michael “Mike” Siers and Megan Vaughan are running for the two open regular four-year-term seats.
Molly Harrison, Algon Keith Sawyer—who goes by his middle name—and Carlton P. “Buster” Nunemaker III are vying for the single two-year unexpired term seat.
Mayor Benjamin “Ben” Cahoon is running unopposed for reelection.
