The Dare County Board of Elections certified the results of the 2025 municipal election in its Friday, Nov. 14, canvass meeting, including a Kitty Hawk mayoral race decided by three votes.

The Dare Community Housing Task Force at its Tuesday meeting unanimously voted to move forward with creating a housing nonprofit. It also heard a researchers' report on local housing attitudes.
