While it was not an agenda item, the Dare County Board of Commissioners unanimously voted Monday to allocate no more than $20,000 toward a baseball nonprofit organization for a regional youth tournament hosted in Dare County this summer.

The Dare County Board of Commissioners at its Monday meeting stressed that no county taxpayer funding will be used in the upcoming construction of the Dare Early College in Manteo, addressing community concerns that board members indicated were voiced recently.
