Virginia man dies after crashing into Currituck house

JARVISBURG — A 42-year-old from Chesapeake, Virginia, died Tuesday morning after crashing into a house in Jarvisburg, according to law enforcement.

 

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision on U.S. Highway 158 near Forbes Road in Currituck County at 9:56 a.m., according to a Wednesday morning press release.

 

Jonathan Kelley was traveling south on U.S. Highway 158 in a 2015 Honda Civic, “traveled off the roadway to the right and collided into a house,” the North Carolina State Highway Patrol press release said.

 

Kelley was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene, according to the release.
