Teen missing from KDH: Police seek public’s help

KILL DEVIL HILLS — “The Kill Devil Hills Police Department is seeking information on the whereabouts of Christian Jenkins, age 16,” a Sunday afternoon press release said.
The teen left his Kill Devil Hills residence with his dog on Saturday, March 15, at 3:11 p.m., wearing khaki pants and a green T-shirt, according to the release.
“Christian is a white male, 5’11”, 120 lbs., blonde hair, blue eyes, and has dental braces,” the release said. “He is driving a 2006 brown Ford F350 with North Carolina weighted truck registration plate VA7196.”
The teen’s truck was last seen traveling west around 10:45 a.m. Sunday, March 16, in Haywood County, the release said.
Haywood County is west of Asheville in the North Carolina mountains.
Anyone with information on the teen’s location is asked to contact the Kill Devil Hills Police Department immediately at 252-473-3444 or dial 911, the release said.
More information, including any potential travel destination, was not immediately available as of press time.
Update: The vehicle was seen near Harriman, Tennessee, around 4:15 p.m. Sunday, according to the police department’s social media page.
