‘Disappointed for a decade’: Edenton residents decry still-not-renovated SAGA-owned hotel

EDENTON — Residents of Edenton have reported everything from trespassers and vandalism to wasp stings stemming from what they see as SAGA Realty & Construction’s failure thus far to renovate the downtown fixture it’s owned since 2015, the historic Hotel Hinton.

 

Frustrations have boiled over into two community meetings in the last two years and have surfaced in discussions at multiple town council meetings.
