A suspect was arrested after one person died and another was injured and flown out for medical treatment in a shooting at Avalon Pier on Thursday, police said.

Nathan Theodore Weller of Kill Devil Hills pleaded guilty to felony attempted second-degree rape and felony second-degree kidnapping charges in Dare County Superior Court, court records show.
