A Newport News, Virginia, woman was charged with “left of center” following a head-on collision Tuesday in Waves that ultimately resulted in her husband’s death, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

A guilty plea and sentencing took place Thursday morning at the Dare County Justice Center in Manteo related to the fiery December bridge crash that claimed the life of a 2-year-old.
