EJE Dredging Service, LLC, owns the dredge, which began work following Dare County-specific legislation included in the 2018 state budget and a June 2019 agreement between the county and the then-newly formed dredging company. MANTEO — Following the fulfillment of the subpoenas sent to the full Dare County Board of Commissioners and to the Oregon Inlet Task Force, six Dare County commissioners received individual subpoenas commanding them to testify before a federal grand jury in Raleigh.
Chairman Bob Woodard already testified, he told Outer Banks Insider in a brief phone interview.
“The only thing I can say…that I’m at liberty to say, is they asked me to come up and talk to them about the Miss Katie [dredge] and the contract, and I’ve done that,” Woodard said Wednesday around 11 a.m.
